Future Release Plans

Parnassus Records has many exciting new releases planned for the new millennium. Below is a tentative schedule. Of course, in the topsy-turvy world of classical music schedules can and do change...

PACD 96011
Erwin Schulhoff: Original Recordings
The Nazis could not kill Erwin Schulhoff's music, and they could not destroy his recordings. All the existing recordings of Schulhoff's playing on this treasure of a CD, most of them reissued for the first time since the original 78s.

PACD 96013/4  + PACD 96017/8
Sviatoslav Richter Live in the 1950s Volumes 4 and 5
Two more superb sets of previously unpublished performances by one of our greatest pianists, captured in his youthful prime. Highlights include the unique collaboration between Richter and the great conductor Hermann Abendroth, as well as the Szymanowski Sonata, a work new to Richter's recorded repertoire and an astonishingly virtuosic performance.

PACD 96025
Janos Starker in Performance
Janos Starker follows the best-selling "Road To Cello", with a selection of previously unissued live performances from his private collection. Expect a virtuoso at his best, in a fine selection of his favorite performances.

PACD 96027
Jorge Bolet: The Boston Recordings

PACD 96029
Alexander Kipnis In Opera
